Our flakes are naturally brown to tan and made with a quick, low-temperature cooking process. Colourful ingredients belong in the recipe; the flakes themselves are not multicoloured.
A SIMPLE FEEDING ROUTINE
How to prepare and feed
- Sprinkle a small amount over the water and watch your fish feed.
- Offer only what the fish finish within 2–3 minutes. Adjust the amount and frequency to their needs and the pack directions.
- Keep the container closed in a cool, dry place. Avoid introducing moisture into the pack.
Feed to appetite and body condition, not an overflowing tank. Remove uneaten food and maintain suitable water quality.

Does vegetable-forward mean vegetarian?
No. Vital Veg includes Australian salmon and Atlantic krill. Match it to the nutritional needs of your species, not simply the colour of the food.
Will this help keep my aquarium cleaner?
Measured feeding and good digestion are part of managing waste. No food makes an aquarium maintenance-free. Offer what your fish need, remove leftovers and keep up filtration and water changes.
What if flakes enter the filter?
Some small particles can reach filtration. Offer small amounts where fish can catch them, observe feeding and adjust. Overfeeding and total waste load matter more than expecting every flake to remain visible.
What does non-irradiated mean?
We do not use irradiation to treat this food. We make it fresh in Queensland, with added vitamins, minerals and prebiotics as part of the recipe.
